Emma Dawson

Councillor Emma Dawson was elected as a District Councillor to represent Cliftonville West in May 2015. Emma has lived in Thanet for 34 years and particularly loves her home village of Birchington. Her early working life was spent within the social health care sector looking after patients in the NHS and residential settings. She then progresses into general, long term and palliative care. In 2005 she formed a company and for 11 years was a company director dealing with the restoration of buildings and contents via insurance claims. Emma has also gained a degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent.

Emma enjoys getting involved with community events and supporting good causes. She also cares about how residents feel and want to assist them as best as she can, providing that link for the resident to the council. Emma is very keen on eating healthily and keeping fit. She also enjoys nature and beach walks.

Interesting Fact:

" Life is very short, so forgive quickly, believe slowly, love truly, laugh loudly and never avoid anything that makes you smile."
